M-phenylenediamine was dissolved in water. Hydrochloric acid was gradually added to form M-phenylenediamine hydrochloride. Then acetic anhydride is used for acylation, and the reaction product is neutralized to obtain the finished product.
It is mainly used as an intermediate for reactive dyes such as reactive yellow and disperse dyes.

Production method | is obtained by acylation of m-phenylenediamine. Add water and m-phenylenediamine to the reaction pot to dissolve. Add 30% hydrochloric acid, stir for half an hour, then add acetic acid, control the reaction temperature at 40 ℃, keep warm and stir for 1h, add refined salt for salting out, and filter. After neutralization, m-aminoacetanilide is obtained. Acylation operations may also use acetic anhydride as a raw material.
