Uses: Herbicide Fluazifop-butyl and Haloxyfop-methyl intermediate and pesticide chlorfluazuron intermediate. Production method Chlorotrifluoromethylpyridine is prepared by chlorinating 2-chloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine with 3-methylpyridine as raw material, and then further fluorinating it to get the product; or 3-methylpyridine can be used as raw material, and then fluorinating it in the presence of catalyst to get the product. It can also use 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine as raw material, chlorinate the side chain to 2-chloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine with chlorine, and then fluorinate the product with hydrogen fluoride. Storage Precautions Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Store separately from oxidizers and edible chemicals, do not mix. Keep the container sealed. Keep away from fire and heat source. Lightning protection equipment must be installed in the warehouse. The exhaust system should be equipped with grounding devices to conduct static electricity.
